Flying out from Marsa Alam to Cairo felt like stepping into an action movie. We started with the pyramids of Giza — standing right in front of the Sphinx was like being in a National Geographic episode. I swear it blinked at me. The Egyptian Museum? Wall-to-wall ancient magic. I probably saw King Tut more than I’ve seen my own cousins. The next day in Luxor, things got real royal. Valley of the Kings made me feel like I should've worn a crown. Karnak Temple was massive, like it could fit a dozen Walmart Supercenters. Overall, two days of pure history, sand, and surprisingly good espresso.

We flew out of Marsa Alam in the early morning, and by the time I was sipping coffee in front of the Pyramids, I had forgotten the time zones altogether. The grandeur of Giza and the elegance of Luxor's temples are hard to describe unless you're there. The ride between spots was smooth, with very comfortable modern vans and a guide who had more facts than a whole season of Jeopardy. Luxor was bathed in golden sunlight and calm energy — Karnak at sunset is something I'll never forget.

At the Egyptian Museum, I think I stared at a mummy’s toenails longer than socially acceptable. Luxor was quieter, filled with wonder and scale. Karnak Temple has columns that made me feel like a speck of sand in history’s pocket

It was a whirlwind 2-day journey, but never felt too rushed. From Marsa Alam, we hopped on the plane and landed in the embrace of old Cairo. The pyramids stood like patient giants, and the museum was packed with relics that should’ve had their own passports. Luxor felt more intimate, like the soul of ancient Egypt. I had a cup of mint tea beside the Nile and swore I heard pharaohs gossiping in the wind 🍃

Never thought we’d squeeze that much into two days, but here we are. First flight out from Marsa Alam landed us in Cairo, where the pyramids stood like they invented gravity. The Sphinx still keeps its secrets. We jumped to Luxor and suddenly everything slowed down. The scale of Karnak and the solemn stillness of the tombs were haunting in a beautiful way. Our hotel? Clean sheets, strong A/C, Nile view. Say less.

The Sphinx was cool, but Karnak Temple stole my heart 💛 We decided to ditch the beach for a couple days and explore a bit — what a call. We flew straight from Marsa Alam and boom — pyramids. Egyptian Museum was more fun than I expected, especially if you’re into statues missing noses. Luxor though… oh Luxor. Karnak Temple looked like a backdrop for an epic fantasy film. We ended our day with a sunset cruise and some fresh dates on the riverbank. Pretty close to magical.
